It's been awhile...

I didn't realize how difficult it would be for myself to keep up with a blog.  I'm learning slowly that it takes some dedication :-)
With Christmas coming very soon I've been busy(like everyone always is this time of year).  I was lucky enough to make Christmas cards for a few people this year.  It makes me feel good that someone would trust me with such a task.  I enjoyed designing the different cards.  I was surprised at how many different "Christmasy" designs I could come up with...I didn't want repeats because the cards were going to a lot of the same people ;-)  Anyhow, I'm done now and I'm happy to say I'm done Christmas shopping too!  It's such a relief.  Now that I am ready for the holiday I have some ScrapTime!  and that always means CardTime too!  So, therefore, that should mean BlogTime as well...we'll see how it goes.

Happy Birthday 2 U

My Grandma has been "hiring" me for a lot of her cards recently.  And it's been so much fun helping her put her ideas onto paper and into a cute card.  This one was for my cousin who loves to, he caught a cupcake!
Recipe: Everyday Paperdolls, random brads and random paper ;-)

Recent Card Making

Spider is from Designer's Calendar cartridge
I have Halloween fever for sure!  I borrowed a few Halloween cartridges from a friend and I'm having a lot of fun making cute Halloween cards. (I am definitely not a fan of spooky and scary things!)

Monster treat bags are from Mini Monsters

These cute guys are stamps I bought from the Michael's dollar aisle.
I also used my new Cuttlebug!!!  I can't believe it's taken me this long to get one.  I LOVE was my early Christmas present, that's really the only way I get cool new things; to buy them for myself and say they are for a holiday that's coming up ;-)

Website Love

I just ordered some Cricut cartridges from a few different online websites and I just have to say I'm in love with things that are on sale. I was also able to finally cash in my reward points on the Cricut website.  It was a good day for me :-)   I used and for my great deals  ;-)  I know these aren't new websites, but they are wonderful!  I'm hoping to do a lot of scrapping in the next 3-5 days!  xoxo  Thanks to my scrappy friend Victoria for always wanting to get a good deal too!!

The Holidays Are Upon Us

For Halloween this year I am making/looking for our costumes.  I have my husband, myself and my daughter's to make/find.  This morning I made my daughters...I used a onesie and hot glued felt feathers on the front and butt.  I'm going to add wings and there is a feathery clip.  This is my version of our favorite feathered character from Harry Potter, Hedwig.  My husband is going to be Neville and I am going to be Luna.  We're very excited to attend this Harry Potter Halloween Bash!

Scrap 4 a Cure

A few weekends ago I had a very productive and fun Saturday!  I attended a local fundraiser for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  We had a small group of great girls and we scrapped the day away.  We were also lucky enough to get wind of a garage sale in town that was selling A LOT of new scrapbook supplies(the garage sale was at the residence of a family that used to own a scrapbook store that went out of business)  Let's just say I go A LOT of paper :-)  I worked feverishly on my husband's baby album and it was great to hear the buzz of Cricuts all kept me motivated.  I can't wait 'till next year so we can have another successful day!

Oh Happy Day!!

I finally got to do some crafting's been way too long!  My Sissy graduates from high school this year and I got the honor and pleasure of making invitations to her party.  I loved making little "Hannah's" and figuring out what I wanted to do for the cards.  Enjoy the finished product!!  I used Reflections solid red paper, Everday Paper Dolls, scallop punch, black and white ribbon scraps and stamps.  It was A LOT OF FUN!!!  :-D

Tales of a One Year Old...Royal Wedding

Prince William and Kate

The Guests in their fancy hats                       The Queen and Prince Charles

Abigail is my wonderful 1 year old.  She loves playing with her "little people" toys.  Last night we set up her very own Royal Wedding.  It was so much fun to pretend with her.  :-)  Eventhough I did most of the setting up, she looked like she really enjoyed it.  Yay for awesome toys and a wonderful baby girl!!! xoxo

Makin' Invites

I've been having a lot of fun making baby shower invitations for a friend.  I started last night after I got the stuff from her and I'm finishing up today.  I didn't know it would be so easy to make something for someone else.  At first I thought I'd never start 'cause I didn't exactly know what my friend wanted them to look like...But then I just started putting them together and it all clicked.  I used my Cricut for the baseball diamond cut(Everyday Paper Dolls), but everything else is stuff my friend bought at JoAnn's.  I made 12 all together with 3 different "designs".  The big A is for the baby's name...Andrew.  All I have to add is the info about the shower, but otherwise I'M DONE!  :-D  I'd definitely make invites/cards for someone else again!

Happy Birthday

Today is my father in law's birthday.  I made this card for my mother in law to give to him...she is giving him a "Ghost" golf putter.  So, she wanted a ghost golfer card  ;-)  It was fun to create something a little different.

I craft because I care :-)

Here are some recycled cards that I made last night.  I had so much fun taking the decorative parts of the cards I've gotten from loved ones and making them into "new" cards to use again.  This is me being a green crafter and saving the world one card at a time ;-)  Enjoy!

You're My Good Luck Charm

I love using my Create A Critter cartridge.  And I think my favorite Critter in it is the panda.  Today I made this cute card with the panda and my new cartridge, Life Is A Beach.  The bamboo card fits perfectly with my cute panda.   I used Stickles to add some sPaRkLe, a great faux fur ribbon for tExTuRe and a flower for added dImEnSiOn.  As usual the inside is blank until that perfect time shows itself when I'll need a cute card made with love.  xoxo

JoAnn's Coupon

So, I'm going crazy here stuck at home with a sick baby :0(  I'm also going crazy because my JoAnn's coupon doesn't start until Friday and I have a coupon burning a hole in my wallet...this isn't the regular coupon I usually get for a regular priced item, it's for anything.  This is awesome because everything is ALWAYS on sale when I shop there!  Oh well, I'll just save my money and wait for Friday...hopefully I'll make it!  Now to make my list :-)

Rainy Dayz

Today is another rainy day.  I wonder what today will bring...yesterday on my way out of JoAnn's it started pouring much worse than it was when I went inside.  Well, Abigail didn't have a hoodie I had to take my little sweatshirt off and wrap it around her so she wouldn't get too wet.  I didn't think it through completely, 'cause now I was completely wet!  Oh well, the joys of a rainy day.  While I was at JoAnn's though I got a new cartridge, so my day wasn't ruined :-)  I picked up Life's a Beach (not new to the world, just new to me).  I can't wait to make some cute things!!  So, I'm thinking I need to turn on the Cricut and get scrappin' 'cause I'm sure not going for a walk in this weather!
Have a lovely Wednesday <3

Pinkalicious Blog Hop ~ SpRiNg!

I'm in the process of creating a layout for the Pinkalicious Blog Hop for March.
The layout I'm creating is for my Creative Memories Magnetic Everyday Display board.  I love my board very much...but I've neglected it since the Giants were in the playoffs.  So, it's time to update!  I'm hoping to be done before dinnertime(in 2ish hours) be continued

Is it SPRING yet??

It's been awhile since I've posted...I hope everyone is doing FABULOUS!  I made this adorable garden card the other day...when I got a few MommyMinutes during a short nap my daughter reluctantly took.  =) I used my cricut for the stems of the flowers(CreateACritter vines from the monkey button), otherwise it's just a sticker from Creative Memories and some pre-cut flowers I had in my drawer.  I thought it turned out great!
Hopefully I'll be able to do some actual scrapping in the near future...It is my birthday on Sunday, so I think I deserve more than a few uninterrupted MommyMinutes!!  Have a great Wednesday! xoxo

Tales of a One Year Old

The last couple of days have been difficult for my little one year old.  First she had the flu.  Since then she hasn't wanted to stay home.  Park, getting the mail, going shopping it doesn't matter; she just doesn't want to be home. Then tonight when I put her in the tub she burst out in tears...why, I didn't really know.  She loves the water and being in the tub (it wasn't too warm or too cold).  As she was screaming I was able to look into her mouth...the poor little thing is getting 4 teeth at once.!  I can't believe that she could get that many at once.  Now all of the whining and crying and being so needy makes complete sense to me.  So, here's hoping these next 4 teeth come in quickly!!!!!
